Los Angeles – California essential workers, environmentalists and consumer attorneys congratulated Senator-elect Sydney Kamlager on her election to Senate District 30. The California Alliance, supported by Consumer Attorneys of California, United Food and Commercial Workers Western States Council and the California Environmental Voters, released the following statement on her victory:
“We are thrilled that Sydney Kamlager’s win puts a champion for California’s essential workers, environmental advocates, and consumer attorneys in the State Senate; and we congratulate Sydney on her resounding victory. Our Alliance of essential workers, environmentalists and consumer attorneys is proud to have strongly backed Senator-elect Kamlager and the vision we share for a ‘just, new world,’ where working hard yields respect and enough money to pay the bills and invest in our kids, where our kids can breathe clean air no matter where they live, and where every Californian has equal access to justice through our courts. Angelenos can be proud to have selected an outstanding leader for this pivotal role.”
The California Alliance supported Kamlager’s victory through an Independent Expenditure campaign that highlighted Kamlager’s leadership in strengthening jobs done by essential workers, creating a healthy environment, and ensuring California’s justice system works for everyone in our state.
